A typical in-person conference setup includes a PA sound system sized to the hall, microphones (podium, cordless handheld and collar, plus conference discussion or gooseneck mics for panels), an audio mixer, a projector with screen or an LED display, and an on-site engineer. Stage, podium, lighting and session recording can be added. We size everything to your room and audience so speech is clear from the front row to the back.

It depends on the format. A single speaker needs one podium and one cordless mic; a panel discussion needs a conference discussion or gooseneck mic per speaker plus one or two roving cordless mics for audience questions. For a 200 to 500 person conference we typically plan a podium mic, two to four cordless handhelds, collar mics for presenters and a discussion mic set for the panel, all mixed for clear, feedback-free speech.

For a large hall or banquet, a properly sized and tuned PA or compact line array carries clear speech to the back rows without echo. The key for a conference is speech intelligibility, not loudness, so we tune the system to the room and place speakers to cover everyone. For smaller boardrooms a pair of powered speakers and a mixer is enough.
